As Heard From Mars

Oh wow, I just discovered this amazing photographer called Christian Pitschl. He does an amazing job doing both landscapes and portraits, skillfully playing with lighting and tones which makes his work so appealing. I’ll expose my favorite pictures in the next couple articles.

The real purpose of this post has more to do with music through. I got my hands on some of Ian Pooley’s recent work and I can say the disco house master is still on top of his game. The slightly detunes high pass filter in the second half is simply amazing. Keeping some flaws and what seems to be happy accident makes it seem very natural, almost improvised.

This next one is a little bonus. Another beautiful piece of house music by Gideon Bouwens and Wouter De Moor. The focus here is obviously on the vocal. It’s as if they’d say: “We don’t know… how we came up with such an awesome idea!”
