I’m such a big fan of Hot Chip. They are the only band that succeed at doing so many different style; from ballads to Cocoon techno. After having listened to Joe Goddard’s Harvest Festival it’s no surprise the band is so successful. On its own, Goddard manages to do extremely interesting music, so different from everything else. From bad-ass bass in Go Bananas to minimal ambiant melodies in tropical punch, this album is great from beginning to end. Vocals are rare but efficiently used and tracks demand for careful listening as each features interesting changes in melody.

Though I preferred the version presented on the second mix of Hot Chip’s Bugged Out, Go Bananas is fun. The track was called Party Rhythm then. It is the most intense track on Harvest Festival.
