Remixes Without Words, an ep containing various remixes of Mike Monday’s tracks, was released last Wednesday. While Mike Monday is essentially considered to be an atmospheric/dubstep artist the remixes contained on the small album take his music into completely other vibes. It’s really interesting to see how sounds which would normally be considered dubstep trademarks are used on the housy and tech-housy tracks. However, the remix which really stood out for me is Justin Martin’s remix of the track Grace. The percs and use of the vocals are simply hypnotizing. Worth a listen or few.
